Privacy.

How this directory handles the information you send and the traffic needed to run it.

Information you send

Suggestions, issue reports and contact messages include the details entered in their forms. A contact message requires an email address so we can reply. These records stay in the private editorial database and are not displayed on public pages. A salted hash of the submitting IP address helps limit abuse; the raw IP address is not stored in that database.

Analytics and security

Cloudflare hosts VRHatch and may process request data for delivery, security and aggregate traffic analytics. We record daily totals of clicks from each listing to an official destination, without storing a visitor identifier in those click totals. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. The private editor uses Cloudflare Access for login. VRHatch does not run ad tracking or create public visitor accounts.

External destinations

Following a listing link opens another provider’s website, with its own privacy practices. Our redirect does not attach a personal identifier to the destination URL and uses a no-referrer policy.

Requests and retention

Use the contact form and choose “Privacy request” to ask about, correct or delete information you submitted. We keep form records while needed to review requests and protect the directory; we review and remove records when no longer needed. We may retain limited information where necessary for security or legal obligations.
